Illusion and disillusion both create new realities. While illusion can create a positive shift in our vision, disillusion destroys a reality. Illusion and disillusion can now address the new technologies that take us into the realm of 3D photographs, holograms, and projections, as well as color theory, animation, Op art, and digital manipulation. Beyond technology, illusion and disillusion can also refer to emotional, political, economic or social situations. Artists and designers are encouraged to consider illusion and disillusion in all its possible meanings and to submit work in any media.
