We’re just a short journey away from Toronto, Chicago, and of course Detroit — America’s only UNESCO City of Design.
Ann Arbor is home to:
Six museums, including the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA), one of the oldest and largest university art museums in the country.
Over 1,000 performances annually, including professional music, theater, and dance presentations by the University Musical Society (UMS), a 2014 recipient of the National Medal of Arts.
The Ann Arbor Film Festival, internationally recognized as a première forum for independent filmmakers, has a deep history with the Stamps School.
Arts @ Michigan, dedicated to providing a platform for University of Michigan students to share their artistic voice and creativity.
And so much more. Explore the full breadth of offerings on the U‑M Arts & Culture website.
As a Stamps student, you have unparalleled opportunities to network with creative innovators from across the globe through the Penny Stamps Speaker Series, where many of our students dine with the speakers — and even end up interning with them during the summer. Stamps Gallery and the Witt Visiting Artist and Artist in Residence programs offer similar in-depth networking opportunities.
