Ann Arbor Art Center: Annual All Media Exhibition
The Annual All Media Exhibition, a juried group show at Ann Arbor Art Center, opens Friday, Oct. 11, with an artist’s reception on Friday, Oct. 18, 6 — 8 pm.
The 91st Annual All Media Exhibition
Established in 1922, the Annual All Media Exhibition at the Ann Arbor Art Center has a long and rich history. Submissions are accepted in any media, and this year, the juried competition is open to all artists, regardless of residency.
JurorsThis year’s jurors are Rocco DePietro and Gloria Pritschet. In 2005, Rocco and Gloria founded Ann Arbor’s Gallery Project, a fine art collaborative whose mission is to be a venue for contemporary art that is culturally aware, individualistic, courageous, and thought provoking. As Gallery Project’s directors and curators, their exhibitions included The God Show, Nature Reperceived, Animal Intelligence, Imaging the Future, Mine/Yours, Umwelt (Subjective World), Nature as Spirit, Grammar of the Elite, and Interspecies Communication. In 2013, Galley Project entered a new phase, presenting large annual exhibitions on culturally relevant themes at selected locations. Their current project is Drones, a dual-site exhibit opening in Detroit’s Eastern Market on October 11 and at the Ann Arbor Art Center on January 3, 2014.
