Cameron Van Dyke: New Faculty Position, Off the Grid
Cameron Van Dyke (MFA 2015) has accepted a position as assistant professor of industrial design at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. The department has nearly 200 students with concentrations in product design and furniture design. Van Dyke teaches courses in design development, wood and metal fabrication, and model making as well as maintaining his own socially engaged design practice.
This fall, Van Dyke and his wife Rachael will begin living full time off the grid on 1000 acres of wilderness in a project that explores the concept of luxury without modern conveniences like electricity and running water. Learn more at http://thefuturepeople.us
