Cathy VanVoorhis: ArtPrize 2011
Cathy VanVoorhies (MFA 1986), lecturer and alumnus of the School of Art and Design, will exhibit in Artprize 2011. Cathy has been painting landscapes of wilderness areas for over thirty years. An avid naturalist, she is particularly inspired by northern lakes and forests in Michigan and Canada.
Cathy will exhibit at the Waters Building, 161 Ottawa Ave., NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her oil painting of Lake Michigan is 3 1/2 x 10 feet, on two canvas panels.
