Cherry Schroeder: Banneker Douglass Museum

Banneker Douglass Museum in Annapolis, Maryland included five mixed media assemblages by Cherry Schroeder (BFA 1976) in an historic themed exhibition. Schroeder’s works commemorate people who worked on the American Railroad, and consequently established a black middle class in America. The works are made of acrylic, thread, metal and found objects on wood. The exhibition runs September 20, 2014 — March 13, 2015.
