Endi Poskovic Lectures/Exhibits in Poland
Stamps Professor Endi Poskovic will present a keynote lecture titled “Intricacies of Post-digital Mokuhanga” at Post-digital printmaking / Redefinition of print, an international conference organized by the Faculty of Graphics and Media Art and hosted by the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland. The conference brings speakers, artists, designers and scholars from a wide range of disciplines.
In his talk, Poskovic will discuss his creative practice in printmaking which considers a range of technologies of reproduction as a way to explore certain characteristics of graphic image: translation, multiplicity, seriality, and the works from the current series of color woodcut prints was created in Krakow, Poland during 2015 – 2016 Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship as well at the Mokuhanga Innovation Lab in Tokyo in 2017. Poskovic’s works will also be exhibited in “Here and Now” exhibition at Neon Gallery organized on the occasion of the Conference.
The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design is one of the six specialized art and design universities in Poland, and the only one in which instruction is conducted in both Polish and English. The Academy grants undergraduate, B.F.A., graduate, MFA and Ph.D. degrees in Art and Design.
