Endi Poskovic: Solo Exhibition in Sweden
Opening at the Konstlitografiska museet on July 27, Sites of Memory: Lithographs of Endi Poskovic is the first comprehensive survey of professor Endi Poskovic’s work in lithography in Sweden. Curated by art historian and professor Dr. Marta Anna Raczek-Karcz, the exhibition presents 21 recent lithographs Poskovic produced at the studios of Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, Halifax, Bellagio Center, Italy, Frans Masereel Centrum, Belgium, and Open Studio Toronto with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation, Guggenheim Foundation, Flemish Ministry of Culture, Canada Arts Council and the University of Michigan.
In her catalog essay about Poskovic’s work, Dr. Marta Anna Raczek-Karcz writes: “Poskovic’s Crossing series explores and redefines both the work of memory and cultural transformations imposed on the land. Crossing is an account of possible transformation, a visual history of land, culture, personal and media transfigurations, a never-ending story of a liquid modernity imprinted in daily experiences of human kind.”
