Fast Forward: Nick Tobier Presents at Insitu
Stamps Associate Professor Nick Tobier will make a presentation on Thursday, December 10, at the Lurie Biomedical Building as part of Fast Forward, a series of short presentations on socially responsive design practices by affiliates of Insitu, the Institute for Socially Engaged Design at the College of Engineering.
Insitu integrates design, collaboration, analysis and implementation to empower engineers and designers to create technology solutions that are good for the world and quickly adopted by people. The Center brings together dozens of faculty and hundreds of students from engineering, art and design, medicine, public health, business, social sciences, natural resources and environment, social work and education to develop comprehensive solutions that are effective and sustainable. The effort builds on the University of Michigan’s strong record of scholarship and field-work, collectively reaching six continents.
