Frank Ettenberg Exhibits
A painting by Frank Ettenberg (BSDES ‘66) is featured in the Santa Fe ‘Armory Show’ Apr. 11 — May 30.
The first Santa Fe Armory Show (mounted in a former local regimental armoury) took place in 1977, and was the flagship exhibition by and for the burgeoning art community. The exhibition was guided and fed by diverse artists who came together briefly to organize and exhibit collectively, outside the province of the established, simultaneously running Santa Fe Art Festival. Frank Ettenberg, a MA/Painting graduate of June, 1966, arrived in Santa Fe after finishing graduate work at the Dept. of Art at UNM/Albuquerque in 1971, and was on the steering committee that conceived of and raised the funding for this special local event.
The reprise of the original exhibition will open at the CCA, 1050 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, NM on the 11th of April between 6 – 8 PM & will conclude on the 30th of May.
