Gifts of Art Gallery Features Laura Cavanagh

Laura Cavanagh (BFA 2011) is featured at the Gifts of Art gallery hosted by Michigan Medicine. Gifts of Art ​“brings the world of art & music to Michigan Medicine” by featuring musicians and visual artists to assist in the healing process. The works of art, including Cavanagh’s The Cut Ups: Paper Collage, are on view through December 10.

The Cut Ups: Paper Collage is mainly cut paper and mixed media, as is most of Cavanagh’s work. She enjoys working with these media because, like a sculptor, she is able to add to and cut away from her work as she likes. Cavanagh lives and works in an historic home in Rochester, Michigan, and finds her work to be an extremely meditative process.
