Holly Hughes Wins Award for Performance and Activism
Holly Hughes and collaborator Carmelita Tropicana have won the award for Performance and Activism from the Women in Theatre Association, a focus group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. The award recognizes important contributions in the field at their 35th annual conference, held this year in Montréal in late July.
Hughes and Tropicana have completed work on their history of the influential WOW Café, “Memories of the Revolution,” which is included in the Fall 2015 publication schedule for the University of Michigan.
