Ian Tadashi Moore Releases Illustrated Book and Audiobook
Stamps alumnus Ian Tadashi Moore (BFA ’01) wrote and illustrated his third book for young readers. Where All the Little Things Live, a follow up to his second book, Tamaishi, released in 2018. His first book, Zōsan, was published in 2015.
This new story follows Naio the feather, a lost and lonely feather. She is suddenly swept into the sky by a cold and mysterious storm, where she meets a red balloon and discovers the truth of who she is and the nature of the clouds.
Where All the Little Things Live received two honorable mentions in the Royal Dragonfly book contest in 2020: Best Illustrations and Best Children’s Chapter Book.
Moore created each book with three main goals in mind: print using traditional offset methods, produce an audiobook experience with multiple voice parts, soundtrack and sound design, and create a casebound edition for future generations. For each audiobook, Moore performed, recorded, and composed the experience.
The casebound editions for all three were created with the help of Windy Weather Bindery.
