Joan Rosenberg-Dent (BFA 1978) was recently featured in the Santa Barbara News for her chic and stylish handbags. Rosenberg-Dent became fascinated with collecting unique fibers during her travels throughout the world. Seeking a use for her fibers, she took lessons from her mother on how to knit and purl. Her knitting ended up turning into a passion and successful business in handbags, which she refers to as ​“Flightbags” because each style of bag is named for a destination in which she or her husband has traveled to.
