Joyce Tinkham: Totems, Trees, and Birds
Joyce Tinkham (BFA 1969) and Betsy Beckerman have collaborated to present a dual painting exhibit called “Totems, Trees, and Birds” at the Ann Arbor District Library Malletts Creek Branch. The exhibit features thirty-five works in a variety of media. The artwork includes watercolor, acrylic on canvas, mixed media on wood, and collage. The library is located at 3090 E. Eisenhower Parkway, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. The show opens on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 and ends on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
Joyce Tinkham’s work features pieces in acrylic paint on canvas and watercolors. Her Nisga’s Native American heritage often influences her work. Betsy Beckerman features watercolors, mixed media on wood, and collage. Her pieces have nature themes or depictions of birds. Betsy and Joyce have both had solo shows at the AADL, and they decided to join their similar tastes and themes to create this dual exhibit.
