Kathryn Brackett Luchs: Images from Detroit’s Cass Corridor Screens at MOCAD
In conjunction with the ongoing exhibition Michael Luchs: Fictitious Character, “Images” from Detroit’s Cass Corridor, a film by Stamps Lecturer Kathryn Brackett Luchs and Shaun Bangert, will screen at MOCAD on July 12 at 8:00 pm.
Combining Super 8 footage made in the 1970s with newer video, “Images” from Detroit’s Cass Corridor features interviews with Detroit artists Michael Luchs, John Egner, Steve Foust, Nancy Mitchnick, Gordon Newton, Ellen Phelan, Paul Schwarz, and Robert Sestok. Directed by Kathryn Brackett Luchs and Shaun Bangert. Original music by Mick Vranich and Shadowfax. Brackett Luchs will introduce the film.
