Kelly Murdoch-Kitt Selected as Design Incubation Fellow
Earlier this year, Stamps Assistant Professor Kelly Murdoch-Kitt was selected as a Design Incubation Writing Fellow. Design Incubation was created to further design research and practice among communication design educators and practitioners. The organization aims to encourage collaboration and critical thinking within the design community.
By committing to a design-related writing project for six months, the Writing Fellowship Program at Design Incubation fosters and develops academic writing and publishing opportunities. The fellowship workshop, held in New York City, is facilitated by leading experts in design writing. Three tracks focus on publishing design-related journal articles, reviews, and books.
Through participation in the program, Prof. Murdoch-Kitt recently completed a book manuscript. Intercultural Collaboration by Design: Drawing from differences, distances, and disciplines through visual thinking will be published by Routledge in Winter 2020.
