Marisa Diamond Launches Circus International Film Festival
Marisa Diamond (BFA ’17) has launched The Circus International Film Festival (CIFF), a film festival for circus performers and filmmakers alike.
The Circus International Film Festival (CIFF) is founded by Latina/Indigenous circus and film professional, Marisa Diamond, BFA, who also cofounded Diamond Family Circus. CIFF’s goal is to honor circus through the medium of film and video. Categories, juried by a renowned panel of circus and film professionals, include Under 18 (directed, filmed, and/or edited by youth), Shorts — Documentary, Shorts — Performance, and Full Length.
Submissions are open now and are due by February 28, 2021, online screenings will be available to the public this spring, and awards will be announced on World Circus Day, April 17, 2021.
