Nancy Thayer: Retrospective Exhibition 1975 - 2015

Opening with a reception Friday, Sept. 11 at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, Nancy Thayer: Review/​Reflect/​Respond is a retrospective of work created by Nancy Thayer from 1975 — 2015.

And back in my studio I depend on that presence to inspire a wordless language of strokes, color, textures and proportions to express the essence of who I am.”

This exhibit is not precisely a retrospective but certainly a broad look at decades of paintings by Thayer.
Thayer’s work is included in numerous museum collections including the Detroit Institute of Arts; Muzeum Papiernictwa, Duszniki Zdroj, Poland; Foundation MINT ALAPITVANY, Budapest, Hungary; and in more than 200 private and corporate collections throughout Europe and the U.S. Her work has been shown extensively throughout the U.S and in Italy, Germany, Hungary, Poland, the Netherlands and Korea.
