Nicole Marroquin Exhibits
Clay sculpture from 2 Chicago-based artists, Nicole Marroquin (MFA 2008) and Alfonso “Piloto” Nieves, is on exhibit in Cabeza de Barro, at the National Museum of Mexican Art through May 15th. The work combines room-temperature ceramic processes with glazed and raw clay, and it references Iron Maiden album covers as much as traditional figurative sculpture.
