Nothing is Simple / Tidak Sederhana
The international engagement Indonesia course is proud to announce its final exhibition, in collaboration with the art collective Taring Padi, in Sembungan Village, Yogyakarta. The exhibition will feature a giant collaborative woodblock print, in addition to smaller prints and batik pieces created over the duration of the three-week international course. The course was led by Emilia Javanica-White and Charlie Michaels, in collaboration with members from Taring Padi. Gedung Serba Guna is a multipurpose building and center for community activity in the village of Sembungan, where the home of the Taring Padi art collective resides, on the outskirts of the city of Yogyakarta. The exhibition will be a community-wide event, with an expected audience of over 300 people.

Exhibition opens at 7pm, Saturday, July 13 with performances by local dance and shadow puppetry troupes Langen Mandra Wanara and Wayang Kampung Sebelah.
