Parisa Ghaderi: Inner Fragments, an Exhibition of Iranian Women Art
The Inner Fragments, a new exhibition of work by eighteen Iranian female artists curated by Mahsa Soroudi and Parisa Ghaderi (MFA 2014), will be on view at Norwest Gallery in Detroit from April 14 — May 2, 2018.
“The Inner fragments” is an exhibition of eighteen Iranian female artists most of whom live and work inside Iran, and represent a new wave in Iranian contemporary art. For these emerging artists, Iran’s political and social turbulence has not been an obstacle in the development of their artistic voice, in fact it has helped fuel and shape it. Their art has been overshadowed by revolution, war, and sanctions. These industrious artists await an opportunity to showcase their artwork. This exhibition will create a space for dialogue and constructive discussion between the artists and the American audience thus engaging in an artistic discourse regardless of political and geographical boundaries.
