Plan to Give on Giving Blueday 2022
Get ready to celebrate and support students, projects, and initiatives at the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design.
Giving Blueday is the University of Michigan’s annual, university-wide day of giving and will take place on March 16, 2022. Faculty, staff, students, alums, and so many others come together to support and raise awareness for important causes across campus. People can donate to the Stamps School to fund student scholarships, emergency funding, DEI Initiatives, and more.
“We are excited to share the joy of Giving Blueday across the Stamps School,” said Melissa Herter, Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. “The activities we have planned for the day are designed to inform and inspire people to give what they can to make a lasting difference at Stamps.”
Special messages, challenges, and surprises will be shared on Stamps social media accounts throughout the day on March 16, encouraging people to give and share information with their networks. Those who wish to get into the spirit can sign up to become a Giving Blueday Champion. The Champions are invited to get ten or more people to donate during Giving Blueday for a chance to receive rewards and prizes.
Students will have the chance to thank alums and donors during the annual Hail Yeah! event that takes place on March 17 from 11:30 am — 1:00 pm outside the Stamps Dean’s office. Students who stop by and participate will receive lunch and a free t‑shirt.
“We’re hoping everyone will find their own way to mark Giving Blueday,” said Herter. “Coming together to support each other at the Stamps School is crucial for building a sense of community and belonging, and we are proud to create activities that foster that opportunity.”
