Robin Wilt Mendenhall Responds to Gun Violence
Stamps alumna Robin Wilt Mendenhall (BFA 1971) will be exhibiting three of her pieces at the GUNS: Artists Respond exhibition at the Detroit Swords Into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery. The exhibition includes work from artists who, through various media, express outrage, sadness, and concern about guns and the death and destruction they produce. Wilt Mendenhall’s three pieces — Elephant in the Room, Baby Elephant, and Un-security Pattern Envelopes — respond to Sandy Hook, the Parkland shooting, and gun violence in general, respectively. Her work, and the work of all the artists participating in the exhibition, will be on display and open to the public through May 24.
