Roland Graf Presents iGYM at CHI 2019 in Glasgow, UK
Associate Professor Roland Graf presented iGYM, an augmented reality system for inclusive play at the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, a premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction (May 4 – 9, 2019).
iGYM was inspired by one of Graf’s earlier media art projects and interactive projection systems and is part of an interdisciplinary research collaboration with faculty in Engineering and the School of Information at the University of Michigan. The system is currently in development. It is designed for school and community-based sport or recreation facilities seeking to provide novel and accessible ways for people with different abilities to play and exercise together.
