Rowan Renee: No Honor No Heart - Toledo Solo Exhibition and Artist Talk
No Honor No Heart, a solo exhibition of the work of Rowan Renee (MFA 2019), is on display through February 14 at the University of Toledo’s Center for the Visual Arts Gallery. Renee will give an artist’s talk on Friday, February 1 at the Toledo Museum of Art.
No Honor No Heart is a photographic installation that reclaims images lost in a legal dispute with a former partner in 2013. The reclaimed images bring to the forefront issues of image authorship, censorship and the gendered power dynamics of the photographic gaze and representation.
