Rowan Renee Writes Article for Aperture
The Aperture Foundation in NYC published Rowan Renee’s (MFA ‘19) review of Pacifico Silano’s exhibition, Speaking Little, Perhaps Not a Word.
The piece connects Pacifico’s archival process of re-photogrphing gay erotica and pornography produced during the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, to the legislative artifacts from the era that persist today, and continue to criminalize people living with HIV.
