Sabrina Kliza Participates in ArtPrize 2021
Work by Stamps undergraduate student Sabrina Kliza will be on view at Brush Work Studio as part of the 2021 ArtPrize, taking place in Grand Rapids, Michigan from September 16 — October 3.
The artist describes her work, Figuratively Gluing My Sanity to Cardboard Literally Gluing Napkins to Cardboard:
“A friend of mine once said that having something to do with your hands helps relieve anxiety. With this artwork that is true. Due to Covid-19, my University gave out utensil packs with our carry out meals. This left my roommates and I with more napkins than we could ever dream of using. With those napkins, I made Figuratively Gluing My Sanity to Cardboard Literally Gluing Napkins to Cardboard. It is a piece that demonstrates how little and sometimes ridiculous things can keep you sane in times of despair and hardship.”
