Sara Harwin to Participate in PWLF 2020

Stamps alum Sara Harwin (BFA 1969) will participate in the 2020 Portland Winter Lights Festival (PWLF) with a window installation at the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education (OJMCHE) and a lunchtime talk about her work on February 12. Harwin’s work, Illuminated Letters, explores the journey of creation by playing with light, color, Hebrew letters, and concepts based on the Torah’s teachings. In general, much of Harwin’s work focuses on themes of transcendentalism and spirituality.

Harwin’s work will be on display at the OJMCHE from February 5 through the end of the month. Harwin will also give a free ​“Noon Time Talk” on February 12 at OJMCHE, where she will present scale models of Illuminated Letters and discuss the installation’s growth over time.
