Schroeder Cherry: 2019 Sondheim Finalist and Solo Exhibition
Schroeder Cherry (BFA ‘76) is one of seven finalists selected for the 14th annual Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA). The competition awards a $25,000 fellowship to assist in furthering the career of a visual artist or visual artist collaborators living and working in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. Each finalist not selected for the fellowship is presented with an M&T Bank Finalist Award of $2,500.
Finalists exhibit at the Walters Art Museum, located at 600 N. Charles St., on Saturday, June 15 – Sunday, August 11, 2019. The winner is announced at an award ceremony and reception on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 7pm at the Walters. The exhibition and ceremony is free open to the public.
Solo Exhibition
Schroeder Cherry has solo exhibition of 17 mixed media works at the Eubie Blake Center in Baltimore, MD. Beautiful Days In The Neighborhood, The Culture of Community runs through May 31.
