Sindhu Giri Shortlisted for Lumen Photomonitor Student Award
Conner Darling and Sindhu Giri (BA ‘19, BS ‘19) were recently artists in residence in the Magnetometer Lab at the Space Research Center, University of Michigan — Ann Arbor. Their collaborative project is a virtual reality (VR) experience within a CAVE (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment). They’ve developed an experiential narrative of the near Earth geomagnetic storm processes so that the phenomenon can be understood beyond a purely scientific perspective.
Their CAVE installation project was shortlisted for the Lumen Photomonitor Student Award, and is showcased on the organization’s Twitter and Instagram pages. The awards ceremony for the Lumen Photomonitor Student Award takes place on October 24th at the Barbican Centre in London.
