Stamps Students Design for U-M Bicentennial Exhibition
Stamps seniors Cody Cai (Bachelor of Arts, Minor in Ross School of Business, 2017) and Emily Schumer (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Minor in Ross School of Business, 2017) worked with the U‑M Bicentennial team to design a portable exhibition that showcases the University’s first class of students and faculty. Under the direction of Stamps professors Franc Nunoo-Quarcoo and Hannah Smotrich, Cai and Schumer worked to create a cohesive display that illustrates the University’s historical arc over the past two hundred years. The research for this project was completed by students in the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) with the help of the Bentley Museum. This exhibition can be seen in the Michigan Union’s Willis Ward Art Lounge beginning March 2017 before moving to Pierpont Commons in Fall 2017 for the remainder of the Bicentennial year.
