Stamps Associate Professor Stephanie Rowden’s audio essay Gravitation and Other Graces will be featured on Re:sound, airing on WBEZ Chicago this Sunday, April 24th at 8pm CT and Wednesday, April 27th at 9pm CT.
Re:sound is Third Coast International Audio Festival’s radio remix and podcast of remarkable documentaries, sonic portraits, personal narratives, and sound art from all over the world, hosted by Gwen Macsai.
Part documentary, part rumination, and part fairy tale, Gravitation is a 26-minute audio essay about the care we give and the care we receive through Stephanie’s conversations with an elderly man named Wolfgang, her interactions with his circle of caregivers, and her experiences recovering from a long-term illness.
