Valerie Doran Bashaw: Latest Commission

Valerie Doran Bashaw (MFA ​‘92) has completed a four-panel commission for a private residence, created using Katagami, Japanese mulberry stencil paper and colored paste resists. The piece consists of two layers of silk printed together, and the top is nearly transparent organza. Each panel is 14 x 16”.
