Projection Mapping on Wood and Polyester Fabric Sculpture

This installation is the third iteration in a series of artworks highlighting the increasingly intrusive aspects of digitization in the modern world and how people need to adapt to this change and collaborate with technology to create a better future. The colors projected onto the fabric, along with their movements, were generated by an artificial intelligence algorithm that had been given prompts relating to different periods of technological advancement in human history. The structure on which the colors are projected was also generated by the algorithm and simplified to a form that connects two independent entities at a nexus point. During the creation of this piece, the algorithm was respected as a collaborator rather than utilized as a tool.
