The phrase “You can get ANYTHING made in Detroit” is still heard often. The ‘Re: Tool-Kit for Detroit’ research project questions the veracity of this claim. Research for this project centered around fifty interviews with Detroit area fabricators, conducted in their workshops during the summer of 2012. Collaboration with Heidi Beebe, Julia McMorrough, and Seth Ellis. Supported by the Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning Research on the City Faculty Research Grant Program.
