Writer’s Mahjong: An Asian American Game of Words is a poetry starter made for my family. In reinventing this Chinese game, I attempt stake a claim over my hybrid Asian American identity, directly allow my family into my writing process, and explore the concept of poetry as collaboration and conversation.
