“Dustin the Tiger” is about a zoo tiger who struggles with depression. He is slowly on his way to recovery through exercising and (occasionally) socializing. However, there is a major setback to him finding happiness. That is, Jojo the Koala, a toxic former friend of Dustin’s, keeps showing up. With this fluffy ball of menace constantly pestering Dustin, can the tiger return to a happier mental state?
The journey of Dustin the Tiger is loosely based off my own personal experiences with self-harm, as well as depression in general. Although the depression was biological (that is, genetically inherited) negative influences from toxic people have caused more severe depressive episodes, which included me cutting myself.
