Patch & Badge seeks to explore the cathartic process of sharing ones ‘inner narrative’. Everyone has an unspoken story, some of which can trigger troubling emotions and unresolved feelings—so often individuals do not have a platform to speak about openly and freely about these stories. Through collecting a number of personal experiences through an anonymous survey, Patch & Badge visualizes four of these specific stories through illustration and embroidery. The imagery is representative of the courage and strength it requires to share one’s story, thus creating a physical representation of wearing your heart and strength on your sleeve.
