My piece explored themes I see within vintage images I find from both snapshot photos and mass media imagery. I collage the images digitally and print them on clear film so the viewer is able to look through the layers of acrylic from multiple angles. Additionally, the themes within my piece explores the relationship between the domestic space, such as the kitchen table, to more macro themes such as space travel. Light is incorporated into my piece so certain images “twinkle” as if they were placed into outer space.
