The title of my project is Concrete Rose; symbolic of the strength a rose needs to grow past concrete. I want to tell a story about the small moments within a black girl's life, growing up in America, looking at how race and society has played a part in her feelings of self worth through an animation built around a character named Rose. My project explores the life of an African American girl through a color animation film. The story focuses on the impact of racism on her life and self-esteem.
