Giving Blueday 2023

Creating a Sustainable Fibers Garden at the Stamps School

Get ready to celebrate and support students, projects, and initiatives at the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design on Giving Blueday. This annual tradition of giving at U‑M kicks off at midnight on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

At Stamps, the focus is on building a fund to create a Sustainable Fibers Garden at the Art & Architecture Building. This garden will be used to cultivate various plants that students can source to make paper, natural dyes, and more.

In this series of videos, three students of fibers arts — Madison Grosvenor, Kristina Rodgers, and Danielle Tutak — explain why establishing a Sustainable Fibers Garden will positively impact the educational experience at Stamps for years to come.
