Andy Kirshner on Resurgence of the Hollywood Movie Musical

Stamps Associate Professor Andy Kirshner was recently quoted in a Daily Mail article about the resurgence of the Hollywood movie musical.

“There’s a whole generation of people who grew up watching animated musicals, and it kind of cultivated an audience for that,” says Andy Kirshner, a composer, performer and professor at the University of Michigan. ​“There’s more of a tolerance for fantasy today.”
