Irina Aristarkhova Delivers Keynote at the New School, NYC
Stamps Associate Professor Irina Aristarkhova presented her work, “All We Want Is Love”, on hospitality, AI technology, and reproduction in an opening keynote speech at the New Center for Research & Practice at The Parsons New School in New York City. Aristarkhova’s speech invited a discussion of alienation as a gendered process to start off Alien Processes: Reproduction and Time, the inaugural annual symposium of the New Center for Research & Practice.
Alien Processes: Reproduction & Time constitutes a collective attempt to previse the manner in which particular techniques, instruments, and systems may influence the human project of futurity. The inheritance of social futures by human posterity is never a given fact but rather the product of a reproductive, temporal, and predictive enterprise.
