Ryan Herberholz: Art Now 2019 Painting Exhibition
The Ann Arbor Art Center presents the fifth annual Art Now exhibition which opens Friday, February 15 and runs until March 16. This year’s exhibition focuses on painting and is juried by Roula David, the Executive Director of Detroit’s Murals in the Market.
This exhibition will highlight artists who employ traditional painting techniques, as well as those who move across disciplines and push the boundaries of what defines contemporary painting, including through the application of hybrid processes and use of mixed media.
“Art Now 2019: Painting” will open with a lively kick-off party on Friday, February 15th from 6 – 9pm at the Ann Arbor Art Center (117 W. Liberty St.). Some exhibiting artists, as well as the juror, will be in attendance. Refreshments will be provided free of charge, including beverages from O&W Inc. All ages are welcome. Admittance to the Art Center galleries is always free.
