Chrisstina Hamilton Featured on WEMU

Chrisstina Hamilton, director of the Penny Stamps Speaker Series and the Roman Witt Artist Residency Program, was featured recently on creative: impact, a radio program with David Fair and Deb Polich for WEMU 89.1 FM. Hamilton discussed how she curates the Penny Stamps Speaker Series, the goals of the series, and what she’s learned along the way.

It’s one of the reasons why Penny created the series: to create opportunities for connection and relationships for our students, not just with the speakers that come in, but with the community. With all of us sitting together in the theater experiencing this, having conversations afterwards, and meeting people there. It’s something that happens in real time and space where people are together — and that’s not so common these days.
