2017-2018 Stamps DE&I Leadership Appointments
In July 2017, Guna Nadarajan, Dean of the Stamps School of Art & Design appointed two Stamps faculty members to lead Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategy for the 2017-2018 academic year.
Professor Franc Nunoo-Quarcoo will serve as Implementation Lead for the Stamps School Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategic plan and Professor Marianetta Porter will serve as Stamps Inclusive Teaching Liaison.
As Implementation Lead, Nunoo-Quarcoo will spearhead and track the implementation of the second year of the Stamps School's Strategic DE&I plan as well as work on ongoing community engagement, reporting, and assessment. As Inclusive Teaching Liaison, Porter will lead our inclusive teaching and professional development initiatives, including the development of inclusive teaching goals and securing development opportunities for school-wide faculty implementation.
On the new leadership appointments, Nadarajan stated: "Both Franc and Marianetta bring deep knowledge and commitment to the DE&I strategic plan and are well positioned to build on our year one successes. They are long-time advocates for the principles of inclusive school communities and we are fortunate to have such dedicated colleagues to lead the second year of this effort."
