Diversity Week at Stamps: October 8-12, 2018
As part of the Diversity Summit organized by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the University of Michigan, the Stamps School presents four “Diversity Week” events during the week of October 8 – 12, 2018. Following the launch of the university-wide five year DEI Strategic Plan in 2016, the University began hosting the DEI Summit each year as an opportunity to provide both updated information and transparency in this process.
Stamps offerings are as follows:
- Tuesday, October 9, 11:30 – 1 pm @ The Grove + Duderstadt Gallery: North Campus DEI Collaborative impactXchange event, co-presented with the College of Engineering; School of Music, Theatre & Dance; Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning; and the Stamps School of Art & Design.
- Wednesday, October 10, 2 – 5 pm @ Stamps Gallery: Stamps Gallery Screening + Public Conversation: Wild Frontiers (2017), followed by a conversation organized by ARTS.BLACK and artist Kameelah Janan Rasheed.
- Friday, October 12, 4:30 – 7:30 @ UMMA: An Evening with Legendary Animator Floyd Norman
- September 21-November 18 @ Stamps Gallery: Exhibition — Have We Met: Dialogues on Memory and Desire
