Okyoung Noh: 2023 Chunman Art Award
First-year Stamps MFA in Art student Okyoung Noh has won second prize in the prestigious Chunman Art Awards.
Sponsored by Samchully Group and based in South Korea, this scholarship award is designed to find and support prospective Korean artists of talent in the field of visual arts. The total amount of the scholarship that is given to winners is approximately $82,000. This year, thirty students were selected as finalists through portfolio and statement reviews, exhibition presentations, and two interviews with international juries, including Whitney Museum curator Kelly Long and former MoMA curator Laura Braverman.
Noh’s award winning submission was based on work completed during her studies at Stamps.
Work by Chunman Art Award winners will be presented in the award exhibition in Seoul, South Korea in May 2023.
