Sharron Pollack Exhibits at Bonsack Gallery
Planting(s), an exhibition of work by Sharron Pollack (BFA 1971, MFA 1973) opens at the Bonsack Gallery in St. Louis on February 12. Pollack uses intaglio, relief and digital printing processes, as well as 19th-century nature printing to express her admiration of texture, structure, and growth patterns of plants, representing a connection between plants and cultural signifiers of happiness and lamentations.
Pollack is an Associate Professor of Studio Art at St. Louis University where she teaches Drawing and Printmaking. She received her BFA and MFA at the University of Michigan, and previously taught art education before working at St. Louis University.
